The Office of Undergraduate Education fosters student success and educational excellence for undergraduates at UC Santa Barbara. The Office provides oversight of policies related to undergraduate education for UCSB’s three colleges: the College of Letters and Science, the College of Creative Studies, and the College of Engineering. It also houses academic programs which add value to a UCSB student’s education. These include the Transfer Student Center, UCDC and UC Sacramento, Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities, Discovery @ UCSB courses, the College of Letters and Science Honors Program, the Education Abroad Program, Summer Sessions, and Instructional Development. The Office also collaborates with the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor to support the Opening New Doors to Accelerating Success (ONDAS) Student Center and faculty development initiatives.
The Office is continuously seeking to further its positive impact on the student experience by creating new academic programming and resources for undergraduates, as well as evaluating and improving existing programming.
